Rules for using FreeTOS.org. Short version: use it for legal purposes, do not abuse the API, and understand that these are AI-generated documents that may need attorney review.
By visiting FreeTOS.org or using any of our document generators, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of them, you should not use the site.
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone else who accesses or uses FreeTOS. They cover the website at https://freetos.org and all tools and generators hosted on it. If you are using FreeTOS on behalf of an organization, you are agreeing to these terms on behalf of that organization.
FreeTOS is a free AI-powered document generation tool. You fill in a form, Google Gemini AI drafts a legal document based on your inputs, and you receive that document to use however you need. That is the product.
FreeTOS is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is formed by using this site. The documents generated here are starting points, written by an AI model based on patterns in legal text and the inputs you provide.
Important
For straightforward use cases, our documents are solid and widely used. For regulated industries, high-value contracts, complex cross-border operations, or situations with significant legal risk, we recommend having a qualified attorney review your documents before publishing them.
We want FreeTOS to be used broadly and freely. Most things you might want to do with it are completely fine. Here is the breakdown:
To keep FreeTOS free and accessible for everyone, we apply rate limits on document generation. The current limit is 5 generations per IP address per day.
If you submit the same inputs for the same document type, we serve a cached result where possible. Cached responses do not count against your daily limit.
For the vast majority of users, 5 generations per day is more than sufficient. If you have a legitimate use case that requires more, reach out to us at [email protected] and we will work something out.
We reserve the right to adjust rate limits and to block IPs that we determine are abusing the service, with or without notice.
FreeTOS provides its services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, legal sufficiency, or fitness for a particular purpose of the documents generated by our tools.
AI models produce high-quality output, but they are not infallible. Laws change, jurisdictions differ, and no AI system can account for every nuance of your specific situation. The document you generate here is a strong starting point. It is not a guarantee of legal compliance.
We also make no warranty that the site will be available continuously, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do our best to keep it running and secure, but we cannot promise perfect uptime.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FreeTOS.org and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or its generated documents.
This includes, but is not limited to, regulatory fines, legal disputes, business losses, data breaches caused by documents you published, or any harm resulting from a document not meeting the legal requirements of your jurisdiction.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of FreeTOS shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past twelve months. Since FreeTOS is free, that amount is zero. This cap reflects the nature of the service: we are giving you a free tool, and you are using it at your own risk.
The documents generated from your inputs are yours. Once generated, you own the output and can use it freely, modify it, publish it on your site, and include it in your products. We place no restrictions on the documents you create with FreeTOS. No watermarks, no attribution requirements, no licensing terms on the output.
The FreeTOS website, its code, design, user interface, branding, logo, and all content we have created belong to FreeTOS.org. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from the FreeTOS platform itself without our permission. Using FreeTOS does not give you any rights over the platform, only over the documents you generate.
FreeTOS relies on a small number of external services to operate. Here is what you should know about each:
Links from FreeTOS to external websites are provided for convenience. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any external site.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page changes. We will not retroactively apply stricter terms to how you have already used the service.
Continued use of FreeTOS after a change to the terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with a change, the right move is to stop using the service. Since FreeTOS is free and requires no account, that is a low-friction choice.
These terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which FreeTOS.org is principally operated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of FreeTOS that cannot be resolved through direct communication shall be submitted to binding arbitration. By using FreeTOS, you agree to resolve disputes through individual arbitration and waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits related to your use of this service.
That said, most disagreements can be sorted out with a direct email. We are approachable people who built a free tool. If something is wrong, talk to us first.
